November 2002
Commodore's Comments for November

Well, time sure does fly.  I’ve already got the first month under my belt, and I would like to thank everyone for coming to the October General Meeting.  Hopefully we’ll see you at the future meetings, and don’t forget about the great meal that is served by our Cooking Committee prior to the meeting.
Special thanks goes out to Rose, Dan, Mike, Steve, Paul, Bobby, Billy, Evans, Larry W., Larry H., Lesley, and all the members of the Sailing Committee and Junior Yacht club for helping out with the Sunfish Nationals and the MC Scow Regatta.  From all reports, they were both a great successes.
The board of directors and finance committee are busy “ironing” out our budget for the 2002-2003 fiscal year, and we plan to present the new budget to our general membership at the November meeting.
Also, I’m sure you have noticed that our gate has not been working lately, but we are currently working on getting the “bugs” fixed in the gate operator, and hopefully the problems will be resolved shortly.

Hope to see you at the Club,
