One of our members, my daughter
Jenny Gervais,
has been selected to compete for the US in the
World University Games in
Turkey this coming August.
She will be competing as one of two college women singlehand sailors
and 2 college men sailors, and will be coached by the
US Olympic Sailing team coach Gary Bodie.
They were chosen from the list of college sailors who raced
in this year's college singlehand
National Championships.
Jenny is a junior at St. Mary's College of Maryland,
and has raced in the college singlehand Nationals
for each of the past two years.
She will be needing to raise funds to help finance
her travel to Turkey with the US Sailing team,
and would appreciate any support
the club and its members can offer.
Jenny now has an account setup with USSailing to
accept tax deductible donations. Contributions can be made by
mailing a check made payable to "USSF", with Jenny Gervais written on
the memo line of the check.

USSailing will deposit into the USSF account under
Jenny's name and then they will send a tax donation notice to the donor.
