GENERAL MEMBERSHIP RULES & POLICY


Applications may only be Given out to Current Members of the James Island Yacht Club.

Membership is by Invitation of a Current Resident Member of the Club.

Applications must have One Major Sponsor & Two Secondary Sponsors.

All applicants must be put on the Club's Membership Waiting List, prior to be "voted on" by the General Membership.



Prior to being placed on the Waiting List, all applicants must be Introduced at a General Meeting.

At that time, One - Half of the Initiation Fee must be Paid.  Total Initiation is equal to Four Times the Current Dues.

From that Point, Your name is Given to the Board of Directors, and may be placed on the Waiting List.

Once there is an opening in the Club's Membership, the top names on the Waiting List will be brought up at the next General Meeting.  Please note, our current list is approximately has a waiting time of about 2 years.
